PSHAN partners with Sterling One Foundation to bring movie to teens

On Saturday the 1st of April 2023, PSHAN partnered with Sterling One Foundation to screen “Chatroom”, a gender-based violence movie for teenagers from the Ovie Brume Foundation.

During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there was an alarming rise in gender-based violence (GBV) and crimes such as rape, molestation, domestic abuse and cybercrimes.

3 years after the COVID-conditioned surge in GBV, we are still employing strategies to respond and combat the menace of gender-based violence.

Through the Chatroom movie’s cinematic experience, we got teenagers from the Ovie Brume Foundation to learn the importance of speaking up against gender-based violence and refusing to be silent in the face of such oppression. #YourVoiceCanSaveYourLife
