President Buhari commends CACOVID as it Winds Down With N12bn Donation

The Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) is a Private Sector task force that has been in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to fight and mitigate the spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

The taskforce, headed by some of Nigeria’s most influential Private Sector leaders, saw some of our directors; Chairman of the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF), Aliko Dangote and Ms. Zouera Youssoufou, Managing Director/CEO, Aliko Dangote Foundation, championing the cause to make Nigeria a COVID-free zone.

Recently, the Coalition went on to give a parting donation of N12 billion for security equipment to the Nigerian presidency as it winds down on a successful mission to remove the fear of the dreaded COVID-19 Virus from the hearts of Nigerians.

We congratulate the CACOVID team and applaud their efforts for a job well done. We look forward to more Private Sector Interventions for better healthcare outcomes in Nigeria.
